COVID-19 and the Historic Alma House

Silverton's Inn of the Rockies at the Historic Alma House is adapting to the changing Colorado State Health Orders on a weekly basis; while adding our own precautions and procedures to keep our guests and community healthy.  We understand that each of us has a different perception of the Covid-19 pandemic but rest assured, our safety precautions are meant to ensure all of us safe, healthy, and relaxed during your visit to Silverton.

As of June 14th, 2020:

  • Masks must be worn upon checking in and while frequenting the parlors and indoor public spaces.

  • Prior to check-in, you will be asked to place all carry-ons, masks, shoes, etc into a UV sterilization bin and to sanitize hands.

  • Luggage will be sanitized by UV hand wand and delivered to your rooms.

  • In each room, you will find a bright yellow laundry bag for your towels and washcloths, a bottle of sanitizer, spray disinfectant, and our guidelines here at the Inn.

  • Breakfast is served by reservation only and promptness is encouraged due to limited seating per State Health Orders.

  • All meals are prepared to order.

  • In addition to our already high standards of cleanliness, we use UV light, Ozone, Scentless Disinfectant, and frequent automated vacuuming for all rooms and public spaces.

  • Check-in and the Dining Room offer an air monitor and HEPA air cleaner.

  • Due to the State Health order, our hot tub is closed until further notice.

  • Please be advised that if you become visibly ill while visiting, quarantining may be required by the County Health Department.  If such quarantining is required,  you will be charged a reduced rate for the room for each night of quarantining beyond your reservation.
